The Velocity Condominiums are located just blocks from the US Capitol. This project which featured a rooftop pool on the 14th floor was completed in June 2009. The pool included a 2’ raised wall with a brick veneer. The wall was capped with a 24” x 48” custom precast colored stone. The waterline was tiled utilizing a glass tile and the interior surface was finished with white plaster.
Custom ladders and handrails were made to accommodate access over the raised wall. This project presented unique challenges due to the limited access and coordination with all other trades as the building went up. The owner and general contractor are ADC Builders/Cohen Companies and the project is valued at $85,000.
