This fountain project was built for the Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, MD. It is positioned at one of the entrances and provides a simple sanctuary for hospital visitors. The healing qualities of water make a natural addition to this suburban hospital setting that is often fraught with highly stressful times for the patients, family and staff.
Bench seating surrounds the structure and the rippled form of the stone enhances the flow of water. Flowering bushes and trees give the area a little more privacy. Having an area close to the hospital that allows for a break from the stress is essential.
