It doesn’t have to be huge to have a huge impact. This tiny intersection in the heart of Bethesda’s restaurant district boasts a fitting memorial to the city’s fallen veterans while the adjacent landscaping and seating walls provide needed respite for office workers to enjoy a lunchtime meal.
Veteran’s Park is a small park at the top of the Woodmont Triangle, at the intersection of Norfolk and Woodmont Avenues and is “dedicated to those men and women of Bthesda-Chevy Chase area who gave their lives in the defense of our country. World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War.” The park holds many outdoor concerts in the summertime.
